Podstražje
is situated on the southern side
of the island, about 8 km
distant from the town of Vis. It
is a small village, located on a
small hill, above the famous
coves of Rukavac, Milna and
Bargujac.
It
is possible to find
accommodation there in restored,
old Dalmatian houses or newly
built apartments.
It
doesn't dispose of many
accommodation units.
The
place is surrounded by olive
groves and vineyards and has a
beautiful view on the open-sea
and the islets off the numerous
coves.
In
the village there are several
peasant households that prepare
domestic Dalmatian dishes.
