Stončica is situated on the north-eastern coast of the island. It is 6 km distant from the town of Vis. It is renowned for its beautiful sandy beach, restaurant, a lighthouse and few apartments that can't be easily booked. The recently constructed road from the town of Vis via Kut will take you above the Vis bay, where from you will descend on foot by a narrow path to the beach, the restaurant and apartments. Some householders offer transport by taxi-boats from the town of Vis, still another unforgettable experience.

In this cove there are some ten houses to rent, only apartments or the whole houses. There is no running water and each house has its own rain-water cistern and septic cavity. This Robinson like type of vacation is intended for those who wish to spend their vacation far away from civilization, telephone or overcrowded beaches, eager of quiet and peace, in the vicinity of the sea and stone. In the cove there is a cellar-restaurant Lanterna (The Lighthouse) with some specialities prepared by the chef Pave in a relaxed, home atmosphere.
